Imorgon den 25 mars är det våffeldagen! I mars firar vi alltid våffeldagen här i kalla Sverige. Våfflor är inget speciellt unikt för Sverige men svensken äter bra med våfflor ändå kan jag lova! Orsaken till att vi har en våffeldag är däremot delad men det verkar som om den uppstått p g a ett skojjigt talfel. Den 25:e mars firade man förr till minne av jungfru Maria och den dag då Jesus "blev till", man kallade dagen "vårfrudagen" vilket man tror gav upphov till talfelet "våffeldagen" och att man senare började äta just våfflor denna dag. Galet!
Våfflor bör ätas med vispad grädde och sylt (helst jordgubbssylt) – fast i lagom mängd. Här om dagen tjyvstartade vi våffelfesten, vaniljglass, grädde och olika sylter fanns att välja mellan till ett stort lass med våfflor. Det blev helt enklet för mycket av det goda kan man säga. Mer än en våffla med grädde och sylt är nästan syndigt, speciellt när man mår illa redan efter den första!
.. Men våfflor är ju ändå så söta och goa, det tycker minihundar också som gärna sväljer både en och annan våffla hel, Fråga Selma! Eller Selmish minisarna.

Tomorrow, 25th of March, is the waffle day! In March vi always celbrate the waffle day here in cold Sweden. Waffles isn't especially unique for Sweden but I can assure you that the swedes eat alot of waffles anyway! The reason why we have a waffle day isn't clear though but it seems it was caused by an hillarious error in speach. The 25th of March used to be celebrated in memorial of virgin Mary and the day Jesus "was made", in Swedish the day was called "vårfrudagen" which possibly became "våffeldagen" (waffle day), an error in speach which in turn made people start eating waffles this special day. Hillarious!
Waffles are to be eaten together with whipped cream and jam (preferably strawberry jam) – but in enough amount! The other day we started the waffle party in advance, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and different kinds of jam where there to choose from to a big pile of waffles. I just have to admit it turned out to be waaay to much of the goodies. More then one waffle with whipped cream and jam is already half a sin, especially when one feel sick already after the first one!
.. But waffles are yet so sweet and lovable, mini dogs share the same opinion they can gladly swallow both one and two waffles whole, just ask Selma! Or the Selmish minis.

Ett hundmärke jag surfade på för 2-3 år sedan var japanska PiPi Dogs, märket gör främst kläder, leksaker och bärväskor för hundar. Jag facinerades mycket över deras stil då utbudet här hemma var (och fortfarande är) så otroligt begränsat "Puppia, Theo, okänd tysk import, Puppia, Theo, okänd thailändsk import" e c t.
Jag förälskade mig i deras underbara strumpor! Men hur jag skulle få tag på ett par (2 par? 4 strumpor! ^w^) var en gåta. 2008 hittade jag dock Japan Auction Center där man får "hjälp" att köpa grejjer från japanska Yahoo och tidigare i år hade jag möjlighet att klicka hem ett paket med PiPi Dogs dog socks i xxs till Selma (tillsammans med en massa andra japanska hundkläder hehe).
Sockorna är adorable! Dessa är svarta med grå ränder och vitt halk-tryck under. Men, DE ÄR FÖR STORA! Hur länge hade jag inte kollat in dessa strumpor? Minsta storleken var för stor, såklart, trots att man sett Chihuahua bilder med dom och läst om måtten @_@ !
Det var något år sedan Selma gick omkring med skor så skovanan är rätt död, observera att hundar behöver som med vilken annan träning som helst lära sig att gå i skor och strumpor precis som småbarn, men Selma skakar lätt av sig de fina strumporna var gång matte försöker, dom är förstora helt enkelt.
Men dom är ändå så söta, fina och praktiska om man har parkett hemma, så vi rekommenderar minsann ändå PiPi Dogs dog socks till lite större eller fluffigare hundar!
Priset för bara strumporna inkl. alla kringkostnader blev ca 160sek, mer än dubbla marknadsvärdet! Men, men är man desperat så är man!



2-3 years ago I found a Japanese dog brand, PiPi Dogs, they focus on clothes, toys and carriers for dogs. I was truly facinated by their style though the stuff you found here in Sweden was (and still is) so extremly limited "Puppia, Theo, unknown German import, Puppia, Theo, unknown Thai import" e c t.
I fell in love with their lovely socks! But how to get hold of a pair (2 pair? 4 socks! ^w^) was a mystery. But 2008 I found Japan Auction Center where you get "help" to shop stuff from Japanese Yahoo and earlier this year I was able to order a package with PiPi Dogs dog socks in xxs for Selma (together with alot of other Japanese dog clothes hihi).
The socks are adorable! These are black with gray stripes and white anti-slip print under. But, THEY'RE TOO BIG! For how long did I check these out? The smallest size was too big, of course, even though I've seen Chihuahua pics with them and also read about the messurements @_@!
It was some year ago Selma walked around in shoes so the shoe habbit is kinda dead, understand that dogs need to practice walking in shoes and socks as with any other training, the same for kids when it comes to shoes, but Selma easily shake the nice socks off everytime mommy put them on, mostly cause of the size though, they're simply too big.
But they're so cute, nice and practical if you have slippery floors at home, we recommend PiPi Dogs's dog socks for bigger or "fluffier" dogs!
The price for the socks including all costs ended at $20 (approximately) more then dubble the store price! But, if one is desperate one is surely desperate!
