Det här måste vara världens dyraste hund, och mycket troligt världens minsta hund också! Samson (Sammy) kommer från megakända Texas Teacups, "Home of world famous Paris Hilton's Tinkerbell", och är en superliten Maltipoo (blandning mellan Malteser och Pudel). Sammy är en "Super Tiny Teacup" eller "Micro Teacup" och mäter ca 10cm i rygg och 10cm i mank som fullvuxen hane på 1 år, vikten nämns inte tyvärr.. Han säljes för 1.000.000usd (1 miljon dollar), alltså nära 8 miljoner sek! Borde vara olagligt enligt min mening men Texas Teacup verkar inte vara desperata efter att sälja: "We are not pressing to sell him because our milion dollar male babies will be our future Super Tiny Teacup Studs, as we never had males this tiny." Väntlistorna till Sammys valpar tas redan emot i denna stund! =_=
Jisses alltså, en normalstor Malteser väger runt 4kg med en mank på 20-25cm och en normalstor Toypudel väger max 4kg och är runt 25cm i mank, men då bortser vi ju från "teacupaveln" som markant förminskat raser de senaste 10 åren. Micro Teacups eller Super Tiny Teacups (hundar under kilot) slutar aldrig att facinera mig! Men priserna för micro hundar, som lever betydligt kortare än hundar över kilot, är way too expensive! Även om Sammy är ett extremt fall.
Normalpris på micro teacups, vare sig det är frågan om Maltipoos, Chihuahuor, Yorkies eller Pudlar, ligger runt 3.500$, ca 27.000sek, i dagsläget. Högt kilopris kan man säga, men med tanke på den Chihuahuahysteri vi hade här för några år sedan är det ju inte ett så extremt pris för en "minihund", även i dagsläget kan man hitta svenska vavvor för 25.000sek, dessa med en vuxenvikt runt 3kg!

Sammy is a "Super Tiny Teacup" or "Micro Teacup", he's 4 inches tall and 4 inches long full grown, he's weight is not mentioned though.. He's off for $1.000.000 (one million usd)! Should be illegal if you ask me but it seems Texas Teacups isn't too eager to sell him: "We are not pressing to sell him because our milion dollar male babies will be our future Super Tiny Teacup Studs, as we never had males this tiny." They're already accepting waiting list applications for Sammy's puppies! =_=
Amazing, a normal sized Malteser weigh around 8,8 lbs and is 7,8-9,8 inches tall, a normal sized Toy Poodle
weigh at most 8,8 and is also around 9,8 inches tall, but this exclude the teacup breeding, ofcourse, which has minimized breeds for the last 10 years. Micro Teacups or Super Tiny Teacups, (dogs under 2,2 lbs) never stop fascinate me! But the prices for micro dogs, who live shorter lifes then dogs above 2,2 lbs, is way too expensive! Even if Sammy is a rare case.
The present price for micro teacups, whether it's Maltipoos, Chihuahuas, Yorkies or Poodles, is around $3.500. Kinda high price per oz and pound, but thinking of the "Chihuahua hysteria" we had here some years ago these prices aren't too extreme for a "mini dog". Even today you can find Swedish chis around 25.000sek, $3,200, and these grow up to become 6,6 pounds dogs!
