Oj, oj, oj vad tiden tickar! Dan före dan redan och med det når ju lussebulls säsongen snart sitt slut ju! Matte äääälskar lussebullar – degen, baket, lukten och sen första tuggan = heaven! Vi har käkat mycket gula bullar denna månad kan jag lova. I år gick en panikvåg i svensk media, saffranet som kanske är den viktigaste kryddan så här i juletider, kostade dubbelt så mycket som förra året. Med ett pris på 70 000kr/kg hoppas jag att folk njutit av varje tugga denna högtid!
Det finns olika lussebulls recept, men personligen gillar jag "kesella varianten" bäst, saffransbullarna ska vara saftiga och fluffiga, inte torra! Till receptet hör också russin, vissa häller russin i degen medan andra t o m pillar bort de 2 stackars svullna russina på toppen innan de äter, själv tycker jag att det ska vara lagom mycket russin i degen + de 2 på.
Selmish minisarna bryr sig föga om kilopris eller russin, dom skopar på bara! typ..

Oupsi, how the time is ticking! It's the day before the day already and with it the lussebulle (saffron bun) season is almost ended! Mommy just looove saffron buns – the dough, the baking, the smell and then the first bite = heaven! We've been eating alot of these yellow buns this month, for sure. This year a wave of panic ran through Swedish media, the saffron which might be the most important spice this time of year, cost twice as much as last year. With a kilo price at 70 000 sek ($100,907/kilo (1 kilo = 2.2lbs)) I hope people have been enjoying each single bite this season!
There're different saffron bun recipies, personally I like "the kesella style" (kesella = yoghurt/creame?!) the best, saffron buns should be somewhat.. juicy(?) and fluffy, not dry! Raisins belongs to the recepie too, some pour raisins into the dough while others even pick off those 2 poor swollen raisins that are put on the top before they start eating, I prefer enough raisins in the dough + the 2 on top.
The Selmish minis don't care too much of kilo cost and raisins though, they just dig in! kinda..
